“Perfect for those who adore Tim Burton, Shel Silverstein, or Gris Grimly.”
“These visually descriptive images will keep you awake at night for sure.”
So frightening you can't help but pee.
The worst creatures you'll ever see.
Turn away, don't spare a glance.
I warn you, this is your last chance.
The faint of heart and weak of bladder,
will be served upon a bloody platter.
But if you're strong and brave to start,
These horrid beasts won't eat your heart.

about the author
Kristen Tomaru was born a human baby in California and raised in New York. For as long as she can remember, she’s been drawing, dreaming up, and bringing to life beautiful, wacky, and wonderfully creepy creatures.
Fueled by her delightfully twisted imagination, Kristen’s creations have crawled off the page and into her books, puppetry, and all manner of peculiar projects. Somewhere along the way, she also managed to raise her beautiful daughter, Sunshine, proving that even the most twisted minds can create something truly wonderful.
Her colorful, creepy creations bring a curious mix of unease and delight to those who dare to explore her work. But beware! The gnarly fingers of her imagination are always reaching out, ready to snatch up the next unsuspecting soul.
Consider yourself warned.
“I always found drawing monsters and dragons to be the most fun because no matter how you draw them, you're never wrong, and it's always fun to be able to actually show people things that don't exist.”
